The former coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, left the club and his position as coach in June 2021. Since then, he has been approached by various teams, including Juventus and PSG, and there have even been rumors of him potentially taking charge of the French national team.
However, Zidane has always been hesitant to return to coaching. Recently, Bayern Munich has reached out to his agent to express their interest in his services.
Bayern is currently experiencing the end of their seemingly unstoppable dominance in the Bundesliga.
With Tuchel’s arrival in March 2023, the Bavarian club managed to secure the German championship last season on the final matchday, thanks to a stumble by Borussia Dortmund.
Regrettably for them, there is no doubt about the overwhelming dominance of Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen this season.
Consequently, Tuchel’s departure has been prolonged, even though he will remain until the end of the season, it is clear that his association with Bayern will not extend beyond the initial days of June.
Recently, officials from the German club reached out to Zidane’s team to inquire about his willingness to return to the coaching position, three years after his departure from Real Madrid.
While names like Nagelsmann, Flick, and Mourinho have been repeatedly mentioned as potential options, the latest move from Munich indicates that the coach who secured three consecutive Champions League titles in the Madrid dugout is the preferred choice.
