Harry Kane sustained an ankle injury recently, causing him to miss England’s 1-0 defeat to Brazil on Saturday.
Following the match, Gareth Southgate stated that Kane would return to training with Bayern after recognizing his captain’s uncertain status for the team’s upcoming friendly against Belgium.
Kane was seen training with Bayern Munich on Monday, as confirmed by the club during an individual training session.
The official club announcement stated: “Harry Kane completed an individual training session at FC Bayern’s training ground on Monday morning.”
Watkins played the entire match against Brazil on Saturday, but only had one significant chance in the first half, which he unfortunately missed from a close range.
As a result, Toney is expected to be selected this week, despite not featuring for England since his debut against Ukraine in 2023.
Marcus Rashford from Manchester United and Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United are also options for the center-forward position.
The upcoming match against Belgium is one of three friendlies scheduled before Southgate finalizes his squad for Euro 2024 on June 8.
In addition to Belgium, England will also face Bosnia & Herzegovina and Iceland before the deadline.
