Bayern Munich is set to embark on a return journey to Asia, scheduled to visit South Korea as part of their Audi Summer Tour.
The club will participate in the “Coupang Play Series 2024”, featuring matches hosted at the World Cup Stadium. Details regarding their opponents and match dates will be disclosed at a later juncture.
This upcoming tour marks the second consecutive year that the renowned champions will set foot on the Asian continent, following their previous summer excursion to Japan and Singapore. Previous visits to China and Singapore were also made in 2017. Notably, this occasion will mark the club’s inaugural venture to South Korea.
In addition to engaging in friendly matches to ramp up preparations for the 2024/25 season, Bayern’s players are slated to participate in various fan-oriented activities. Noteworthy among the players is South Korea international Minjae Kim, who can anticipate a particularly warm reception. Notwithstanding, the Bayern squad boasts an array of international luminaries, including Alphonso Davies, Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, and Manuel Neuer.
In June 2022, Bayern inaugurated an office in Bangkok, Thailand, aimed at enhancing outreach to fans in Southeast Asia, India, and Oceania. This office represents the club’s third international outpost, complementing existing offices in New York (USA) and Shanghai (China), established in 2014 and 2017, respectively.
