Massimiliano Allegri, the coach of Juventus Football Club, has announced that Dusan Vlahovic will face disciplinary measures in the form of a fine subsequent to his receiving a red card during the match against Genoa on Sunday.
Vlahovic’s expulsion from the game stemmed from an incident of dissent during the closing minutes of Juventus’ encounter with Genoa, which resulted in a goalless draw at the Allianz Stadium.
In an interview with Sky Sport Italia following the conclusion of the match, Allegri confirmed that the Bianconeri would impose sanctions on their center forward, who had recently returned from a one-match suspension.
Acknowledging Vlahovic’s error, Allegri asserted that the player would be held accountable for his actions. The Livorno-native coach further mentioned that he refrained from addressing the matter with the Serbian player in the dressing room post-game.
Juventus is slated to resume their campaign with an upcoming away fixture against Lazio on March 30.
During his post-match interview with Sky Sport Italia, Allegri appeared visibly frustrated and engaged in contentious exchanges with journalists, alleging that their inquiries lacked depth.
Juventus’ recent Serie A performance has been subpar, with only one victory in their last eight matches, resulting in a mere six points garnered from the past five games.
