Dusan Vlahovic emphasized the need for Juventus to rediscover their “aggression and determination” against Frosinone, while acknowledging the coaching staff’s decision regarding the attack formation.
The Bianconeri face a crucial match at Allianz Juventus Stadium, seeking to snap their recent slump and maintain their hold on second place in Serie A.
“These past few weeks haven’t been easy with the results, but we must turn the page,” Vlahovic stated in an interview with Sky Sport Italia. “Our focus solely lies on securing three points today, both the team and I have moved past recent performances.”
He acknowledged Frosinone’s strengths, highlighting their tenacity and offensive prowess. “Frosinone is a strong team that creates numerous scoring opportunities,” he said. “We need to approach the match with aggression and determination to secure the victory.”
The meeting with Frosinone earlier this season marked the beginning of a successful run for both Vlahovic and Juventus. However, the striker remains focused on the team’s performance.
“While the specific reasons for that positive stretch are unclear, I believe my hard work finally paid off,” Vlahovic reflected. “However, individual goals hold no weight compared to team results. We need to rediscover our winning ways, along with the confidence, aggression, and determination that have recently fallen short of our usual standards.”
Coach Allegri experimented with a 4-3-3 formation in training, including Carlos Alcaraz in midfield, but ultimately opted for the 3-5-2 system for this match. When asked about the preference for a three-pronged attack, Vlahovic deferred to the coaching staff.
“This decision rests with the coach,” he stated. “I am a team player, and I am available to fulfill whatever role the coach assigns me. We implement whatever tactics he decides upon.”
