Bayern Munich remain alongside the likes of Liverpool in the race for Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha, sources have told Football Insider.
The German giants are still keen to land the 28-year-old despite the imminent departure of Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel’s interest in Palhinha dates back to last summer, with the former Chelsea manager reportedly keen on bringing the Portuguese midfielder to the club. However, Fulham thwarted their efforts to secure his signature on deadline day.
Despite Tuchel’s recent departure from Bayern, sources suggest that Palhinha remains a target for the club, with club officials expressing admiration for the player. Bayern’s interest comes amid competition from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea, as well as others.
Fulham’s vice-chairman Tony Khan has acknowledged the potential for Palhinha’s departure, indicating that the club will entertain sensible offers for the midfielder given the significant interest in his services.
