Thiago Silva’s move to Fluminense has been confirmed by both the Brazilian club and Chelsea. The 39-year-old defender will join Fluminense on a free transfer once the 2023-24 Premier League season concludes.
Silva’s departure from Chelsea will take place after their last Premier League match against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on May 19. Previously, the Brazilian international had joined Chelsea on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020.
Thiago Silva is set to depart Chelsea at the conclusion of the current season to reunite with Brazilian side Fluminense. The veteran defender, who is 39 years old, has accumulated over 150 appearances for Chelsea since signing with the club in August 2020.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Silva has secured prestigious titles such as the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.
