Manchester United defender Brandon Williams sparked controversy by parking in a designated disabled parking area. The young star was criticized for his lack of awareness.
Williams was spotted parking his Land Rover Defender in a disabled parking spot at a supermarket. Later that day, he repeated the action at a similar location in a multi-story car park in Wilmslow, Cheshire. In England, parking in disabled spots can result in fines.
A witness remarked, “I understand he may be injured, but someone in a wheelchair might need that spot more. He seems arrogant or ignorant, or both.”
At the time of the incident, Williams was accompanied by his girlfriend, model Shanice Eastmond. His Land Rover Defender, valued at £100,000, was parked in the spot.
The 23-year-old defender is currently sidelined due to injury. He had previously played for MU during the preseason before being loaned to Ipswich Town. Under Erik ten Hag’s management, he only made one appearance. Williams has featured in 17 games across all competitions for Ipswich this season but has not played in 2024 due to injury.
His contract at Old Trafford is set to expire in June 2024, with a weekly salary of £65,000. With his failure to impress manager Ten Hag, it is likely that he will leave Manchester United this summer.
