Juventus were forced to make an early substitution in their match against Frosinone at the Allianz Stadium after midfielder Adrien Rabiot sustained an injury. The incident, however, was not without its complications.
Rabiot, who limped off the pitch after a collision with teammate Gleison Bremer during the first half, had been expressing discomfort for some time. According to DAZN, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri instructed his players to stop play and facilitate the substitution.
However, the Bianconeri players retained possession, leading to a loss of the ball and subsequently, Frosinone’s second goal scored by Marco Brescianini. This reportedly infuriated Allegri, who clearly intended for the substitution to occur earlier.
Despite the setback, Juventus managed to salvage a draw. Dusan Vlahovic netted twice for the Bianconeri in the first half, while Frosinone responded with goals from Walid Cheddira and Brescianini. The visitors even held the lead momentarily before Vlahovic’s second goal secured a point for the home side.
Rabiot was immediately withdrawn from the game following Frosinone’s second goal and replaced by Southampton loanee Carlos Alcaraz, marking his third Serie A appearance of the season. The extent of Rabiot’s injury will be determined by further medical tests scheduled in the coming hours.
