Bayern Munich has initiated discussions regarding the potential acquisition of Theo Hernandez, a key player whom Milan has indicated is not available for sale during the upcoming summer transfer window.
While Milan’s past transfer dealings, such as the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United last summer, have demonstrated a willingness to part with significant assets for substantial fees, Theo Hernandez remains integral to Stefano Pioli’s squad.
Throughout the current season, Hernandez has showcased his versatility by excelling in both left-back and center-back roles, demonstrating prowess in both offensive and defensive aspects. Accumulating four goals and nine assists in 33 appearances across various competitions underscores his valuable contributions.
According to reports from Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Bayern recently reached out to Hernandez’s representatives to explore a potential move, acknowledging Milan’s stance that no player is deemed untouchable amid the present market conditions.
Despite Bayern’s interest, Milan has affirmed its intention not to entertain offers for the Frenchman during the forthcoming transfer window. Instead, the club plans to secure Hernandez’s services for the long term by negotiating an enhanced contract, with a willingness to increase his current total wages of €4.5 million. Hernandez’s existing contract, which was last extended two years ago, is set to expire in June 2026.
