Verona has received unfortunate news regarding midfielder Tomas Suslov, who sustained a severe injury while on international duty with Slovakia.
Initially scheduled to participate in a friendly match in Oslo, Suslov was compelled to undergo tests for an ankle injury instead of joining the team.
Local reports indicate that he has been diagnosed with a partial rupture of ligaments in his right ankle.
It is anticipated that Suslov will be sidelined for a minimum of four weeks, although the recovery period may extend beyond this timeframe.
The 21-year-old recently finalized a permanent transfer to Hellas Verona from FC Groningen for €1 million in January, following an initial loan agreement in September 2023.
Since joining Verona, Suslov has made 23 appearances in Serie A, contributing with one goal and four assists.
