Ronaldo Nazario envisions a formidable Real Madrid team formed by the talents of Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, and Kylian Mbappe playing together.
Acknowledging the potential amalgamation of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe alongside Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid, football legend Ronaldo Nazario expressed a sense of incredulity, stating that witnessing such a scenario would be truly “mind-boggling.”
Since his arrival at Manchester City in the summer of 2022, Norwegian forward Erling Haaland has been a dominant force in the Premier League, shattering numerous records on his path to securing a treble last season. Despite swiftly emerging as a pivotal figure for Man City, Haaland has refrained from dismissing rumors linking him to Madrid. In a recent interview, Haaland indicated uncertainty about his future, stating that it remains unpredictable.
One individual hoping to materialize this prospect is Brazilian football icon Ronaldo, who told the Daily Mail, “Real Madrid’s policy is to have the best players in the world. Haaland is one of the best players in the world. He’s at an unbelievable club. City is doing very well, I think he’s very happy there at the moment. But, we’ll see. I hope we can see all those players together in one club.”
Ronaldo further added, “It would remind me of the Galacticos if all of them [Haaland, Mbappe, and Bellingham] were to join Real Madrid. That would be insane. Watching Real Madrid play with all those players would be an unbelievable team. However, I think managing all those players will be a big challenge for Carlo Ancelotti. Nevertheless, assembling talented players together is easier than assembling bad players together. That won’t be a huge problem for the coach.”
While Haaland’s transfer saga appears to have at least another season remaining, another superstar seemingly destined for the Spanish capital is Kylian Mbappe. The French forward is poised to end years of speculation by departing Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires in the summer. According to several sources, Mbappe is believed to have accepted a lower wage offer to facilitate his move to Real.
PSG coach Luis Enrique has already begun preparing for life without Mbappe in recent matches.
Ronaldo also lauded Bellingham’s promising start in Spain. With 20 goals and 9 assists in 31 appearances for Madrid this campaign, the Brazilian feels Bellingham could make a significant difference to England’s prospects at Euro 2024. Ronaldo further commented on the tournament, stating, “I have to say, England has played very well in the last 5 years. They were a bit unlucky at the World Cup in Qatar. I think the England team has a very good chance at the Euros.”
Following a dramatic 1-1 draw with arch-rivals Liverpool on Sunday, Man City and Haaland must now prepare for an FA Cup quarter-final clash with Newcastle. Pep Guardiola faces a significant setback for that encounter, with Ederson confirmed to be sidelined for up to a month.
