Manchester United and Real Madrid are said to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Marcin Bulka, the talented goalkeeper from Nice, during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Despite Nice’s recent struggles, the 24-year-old has been an integral part of one of the strongest defenses in Europe this season. Nice may no longer be in contention for a Champions League spot, but they still boast one of the best defensive records in Ligue 1.
Bulka has played a crucial role in Nice’s success, particularly during the early stages of the season when they conceded just six goals in their first 15 league games. His impressive performances have caught the attention of both Manchester United and Real Madrid, as reported by Fichajes.
Real Madrid, in particular, have faced goalkeeper issues this season due to Thibaut Courtois’ long-term injury. While Kepa Arrizabalaga was brought in on loan from Chelsea, Andriy Lunin has recently been given the opportunity to prove himself as the first-choice goalkeeper.
However, with doubts surrounding Courtois’ future availability, Los Blancos may be in the market for a new goalkeeper, especially if Kepa’s loan deal is not made permanent.
On the other hand, Andre Onana, who joined Manchester United recently, has faced criticism but has been a part of the fourth-best defense in the Premier League this season. Despite facing a high number of shots, Onana’s recent performances have resulted in only seven goals conceded from 106 attempts on their goal.
Both Manchester United and Real Madrid will be looking to strengthen their goalkeeping options, and Marcin Bulka has emerged as a promising candidate for both clubs.
