Real Madrid has reportedly set their sights on Lille centre-back Leny Yoro as their top defensive target for the upcoming summer transfer window, according to AS in Spain.
Lille is said to be seeking around 60 million euros for the player, who is under contract with the club until 2025. Yoro has also garnered interest from Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and PSG.
AS has stated that Real Madrid’s approach is straightforward: either Lille agrees to negotiate within certain parameters or they will aim to have the player stay at the club for another season and join them as a free agent in 2025.
Lille is said to be aware of their vulnerable negotiating position and is making efforts to renew Yoro’s contract in order to secure better terms for any potential deal.
Yoro, on the other hand, is reportedly leaning towards not extending his current contract and making a move this summer rather than waiting until 2025.
