Paris Saint-Germain is exploring a wide array of potential options following the departure of Kylian Mbappe, with reports indicating that Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is among the leading contenders.
The 23-year-old Georgian winger has faced challenges in showcasing his full potential during the current season at Napoli, grappling with frustration and diminished confidence amidst the team’s on-field and off-field struggles. Consequently, he has contributed six goals and five assists across 33 appearances this term.
Kvaratskhelia remains on the same initial contract he signed upon his arrival from Dinamo Batumi in the summer of 2022, with earnings of €1.2 million net per season, inclusive of add-ons. While his agent advocates for a new deal, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is not hastening negotiations, opting to postpone discussions until the summer.
According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport via Calciomercato.com, PSG has been compiling a shortlist of potential candidates to succeed Mbappe in the upcoming transfer window, with Kvaratskhelia featuring prominently alongside Napoli teammate Victor Osimhen and AC Milan star Rafael Leao, among others.
Kvaratskhelia is under contract with Napoli until June 2027 and may prove challenging to acquire from the Campania-based club this summer, given De Laurentiis’ reputation as a shrewd negotiator.
