Paris St-Germain, playing with ten men, extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to 12 points by defeating Marseille 2-0.
Vitinha scored the opening goal with a precise shot past Pau Lopez in the 52nd minute. Substitute Goncalo Ramos secured the victory later on, ending Marseille’s 19-game unbeaten streak at home.
Despite defender Lucas Beraldo’s red card in the first half, PSG managed to maintain their lead. Marseille thought they had equalized through Jordan Veretout, but the goal was disallowed for offside due to Luis Henrique obstructing Gianluigi Donnarumma’s view.
PSG’s captain Kylian Mbappe, soon to move to Real Madrid, was substituted in the 63rd minute. With just 10 points needed from their remaining seven matches, the reigning champions are on track to defend their Ligue 1 title.
