Milan is poised to exercise a contractual provision to extend Christian Pulisic’s tenure until June 2028, as reported by Il Corriere dello Sport. The captain of the US Men’s National Team has made a significant impact in Serie A, tallying ten goals in 29 league appearances during the 2023-2024 season.
Pulisic, who arrived at Milan from Chelsea for €20 million last summer, has been hailed as the Rossoneri’s standout acquisition of the previous transfer window, as stated in the Monday edition of Il Corriere dello Sport. His contributions extend beyond league fixtures, boasting a total of 13 goals and eight assists across 41 outings in all competitions this season.
While Pulisic’s existing contract is set to expire in June 2027, Milan retains the option to prolong it until 2028. According to sources cited by the Italian publication, the club is resolved to exercise this option, thereby securing the winger’s services for an additional season.
Reports from Corriere dello Sport suggest that Pulisic has embraced life in Italy and is deeply engaged in the club’s vision. The former Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea player is also actively studying Italian.
Throughout the current campaign, Pulisic has demonstrated versatility by occupying various positions for Milan, including roles on the right wing, left wing, and even as an attacking midfielder, as evidenced in the match against Lecce last Saturday.
Stefano Pioli, Milan’s head coach, commended Pulisic following the team’s recent triumph, marking their fifth consecutive victory in Serie A. Pioli expressed his admiration for Pulisic’s professionalism and work ethic, emphasizing the positive impression he gained from their interactions via video calls.
“Despite his reserved nature, Pulisic’s exemplary attitude resonates strongly,” Pioli remarked. “His unwavering commitment and dedication serve as valuable assets, contributing to the team’s collective strength.”
