Manchester United has purportedly terminated the loan agreement of academy prospect Maxi Oyedele with Forest Green Rovers, less than two months subsequent to his initial acquisition by the League Two club. Oyedele has been observed participating in first-team training sessions to bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad numbers and is unlikely to resume his loan tenure at Forest Green.
On January 17, United officially communicated the decision to loan out the 19-year-old midfielder to Forest Green, where he was slated to play under the guidance of outspoken manager Troy Deeney.
“I’m very excited to be here, and I’m looking forward to getting started. I will bring energy to the group, professionalism and quality as well,” Oyedele told the Gloucestershire outfit’s website upon his switch.
“I will let loose and give it my all. There will be no stone unturned. I believe we can climb up the table. That’s why I’ve come here, so I’ll be doing everything I can to help with that.”
