Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has been linked with a move to Manchester United
Manchester United and Liverpool are set to go head-to-head in a transfer battle for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according to a report by The Telegraph. The 23-year-old has impressed with his performances for the Eagles this season, and his current contract expires in 2026.
Guehi joined Crystal Palace from Chelsea in 2021 for a fee of £18 million, and he has quickly established himself as a key player in Patrick Vieira’s side. He has made 34 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, and both Manchester United and Liverpool are believed to be interested in signing him in the summer transfer window. Manchester United are looking to bolster their central defense after Raphael Varane’s injury struggles this season, while Liverpool are keen to add competition for Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip.
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, is also going to leave the Anfied this summer. Therefore Liverpool’s pursuit of the 23-year-old will be based upon who they will bring at the manager’s position.
With The Reds from Manchester and Merseyside, Chelsea are also said to be in the competition.
