Manchester United is looking to make substantial cuts to their wage bill during the summer, resulting in the departure of multiple players with high salaries.
Anthony Martial is expected to leave Old Trafford as a free agent, with Raphael Varane, Antony, and Casemiro being the next players in line to potentially leave – the latter being the highest-paid player for the Red Devils.
Casemiro, the Brazilian midfielder, currently earns a staggering £350,000 per week, a figure that does not align with his performances on the field this season.
The former player of Real Madrid, whose contract is valid until 2026, is willing to embrace a fresh challenge in a different location.
The representatives of the seasoned player are currently engaging with various clubs overseas to identify the perfect destination for him.
Casemiro was reportedly proposed to Al-Nassr in January, but lately, the 32-year-old has emerged as a prime target for the entire Saudi Pro League. Discussions are underway with key individuals in the Gulf State to determine the most suitable club for Casemiro.
Apart from Al-Nassr, where his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo plays, reports suggest that Al-Ahli and Al Hilal are also in the running to secure his services as they actively seek a new midfielder.
Once Casemiro and his team have made a decision on his preferred club, further discussions will take place to finalize the terms of his potential transfer.
If the Brazilian gives the green light for the move, negotiations will commence with Manchester United, who are seeking a fee of around €35m (approximately £30m) for his services.
While Manchester United are open to selling Casemiro, they are determined to stick to their asking price, which the three wealthy Saudi clubs should not have an issue meeting.
