Manchester United is set to enter the transfer market this summer in order to enhance their squad for the upcoming 2024-25 season. In addition to focusing on experienced players, the Red Devils are actively seeking young talents who have the potential to become key members of the first team.
Following the acquisition of a minority stake in the club by INEOS, new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has revealed his strategic vision for the team.
Ratcliffe emphasized the importance of scouting emerging talents, expressing his ambition for Manchester United to discover the next rising star like Kylian Mbappe, rather than solely relying on established names.
Recent reports suggest that the club has identified Dipepa as a promising prospect. The 17-year-old forward, who has progressed through the ranks at Vale Park, made his senior debut in a match against Crewe Alexandra in September 2023.
Dipepa was later handed his league debut by former Port Vale manager Andy Crosby in a 1-0 victory over Exeter City.
His consistent performances have earned him a place in the Port Vale squad, as well as a call-up to the England Under-17s team.
Dipepa made an impressive debut for his national team, scoring two goals in a 5-0 win against Northern Ireland in a European Championship qualifier. Subsequently, he found the back of the net in another 5-0 victory over Hungary, before featuring in a 2-1 defeat to France.
