According to a report from Tuttosport, Manchester United and Aston Villa have dispatched scouts on numerous occasions throughout this season to observe the performances of Torino’s right wing-back, Raoul Bellanova.
The Italian defender has exhibited remarkable form in Serie A, tallying three assists and a goal in his last six league outings. Tuttosport further indicates that representatives from Manchester United and Aston Villa have diligently assessed Bellanova’s capabilities in several matches.
Tuttosport’s report suggests that Manchester United is contemplating the sale of Aaron Wan-Bissaka during the upcoming summer transfer window, thereby necessitating the acquisition of a new right-back for the 2024-25 season.
Conversely, Aston Villa’s scouting efforts extend not only to Bellanova but also to Inter’s right-back, Denzel Dumfries, who may depart from the Nerazzurri if he does not commit to a contract extension beyond June 2025.
Bellanova finalized a permanent transfer to Torino from Cagliari for €7 million last summer, following a loan spell at Inter. His contract with Torino is set to expire in June 2027.
Although Bellanova has yet to earn his senior international debut for Italy, Tuttosport suggests that Luciano Spalletti is considering summoning him for the forthcoming fixtures against Venezuela and Ecuador.
