Reports suggest that Manchester United is considering a potential move for Juventus defender Gleison Bremer. The club is looking to strengthen their defense, and Bremer, who has a reported release clause of £43 million, could be a suitable option. Additionally, there are links between Manchester United and Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils have shown interest in signing Gleison Bremer, and speculation has increased since the appointment of Dan Ashworth as sporting director. Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport has identified Bremer as a player of interest. Despite signing a new contract with Juventus until 2028, it is believed that Bremer has a release clause worth £43 million. Manchester United may pursue a transfer for the 27-year-old this summer.
However, new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly more inclined to acquire young talent rather than aging stars like Casemiro or Raphael Varane. As a result, the Red Devils could explore the possibility of signing Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, who recently received his first call-up to the England squad. Everton has set a high price tag of £75 million for the youngster, but Manchester United hopes to negotiate it down to £50 million.
