Manchester City have engaged in discussions with Wolverhampton Wanderers concerning a potential transfer move for Rayan Ait-Nouri.
Ait-Nouri, aged 22, has stood out as one of Wolves’ top players this season, particularly excelling in the left-wing-back position, which has piqued the interest of several top clubs in the Premier League.
It has come to our attention that Sergio Gomez, a player from Man City, may be involved in a player-plus-cash swap deal with Ait-Nouri during discussions with Wolves.
Sergio Gomez has had limited playing time this season, making only 14 first-team appearances and starting just two Premier League games since joining Man City from Anderlecht in 2022. Consequently, he is seeking a departure from the Etihad Stadium this summer.
Pep Guardiola has rotated between Josko Gvardiol and Nathan Ake at left-back this season. However, reports indicate that he is seeking a more offensive-minded player for that position.
Ait-Nouri seems to be the ideal candidate for this role, with sources suggesting that he is the preferred choice over Antonee Robinson on Manchester City’s transfer radar. While Guardiola’s team has also shown interest in Robinson, Ait-Nouri currently holds the edge.
It has come to our attention that Wolves have placed a €70m (£60m) price tag on Ait-Nouri.
