Enrique has openly acknowledged that several Barcelona players have the quality to be starters for his current team at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spanish manager has been rumored to be considering a return to Barcelona and has expressed his desire to lead the team at Camp Nou once again, intensifying the anticipation for the upcoming Champions League clash between the two clubs.
While live streaming on Twitch during the international break, Enrique praised the talent within the Barcelona squad, emphasizing that many players could easily secure a spot in any top team worldwide.
Specifically commended were Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Pedri, Ilkay Gundogan, Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski.
Enrique highlighted that these players could also shine at clubs like Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Arsenal.
Despite his contract with PSG running until 2025, Enrique has made a commitment not to show disrespect to his current club by considering a move elsewhere while under contract with the French champions.
Expressing some regret over the timing of his potential interest in managing Barcelona, Enrique admitted that he would have been open to the opportunity last summer rather than this year.
He will closely observe Barcelona’s performance when they face off against PSG at Parc des Princes on April 10 for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie. The return leg is set for April 16, with a spot in the semi-finals against either Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund up for grabs.
