In the first half, Arsenal dominated the game but failed to convert their opportunities into goals. However, their performance drastically declined in the second half, and they were completely outperformed by Villa.

Just before the end of the first half, Arsenal had their best opportunity when Trossard’s shot was brilliantly saved by former Gunners goalkeeper Emi Martinez using his right foot.
Although the Gunners displayed some impressive football in the first half, particularly with Odegaard’s outstanding performance, they were consistently thwarted by Villa’s commendable defensive display.
