Liverpool may have to pay £8.59million to Feyenoord if they wish to secure the services of manager Arne Slot. The 45-year-old Dutchman is a leading candidate to replace Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
Feyenoord is reportedly open to letting Slot go, but they are demanding €10million (£8.59m) for his release. Slot recently guided Feyenoord to victory in the Dutch Cup final and a league title in the 2022-23 season.
However, sources suggest that the Dutch club is becoming frustrated with Slot’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, for actively seeking offers from other clubs on his behalf.
Despite this, Feyenoord has been accommodating to Slot’s demands due to his influence over transfers at the club.
It is highly probable that Slot will bring his trusted associate, Sipke Hulshoff, to his upcoming club, as Liverpool is in dire need of a significant overhaul in their coaching staff.
This necessity arises due to the impending departure of several prominent members from Klopp’s trusted team.
As of now, there have been no official or direct discussions between Liverpool and either Slot or Feyenoord. The Dutch club was only recently made aware of the increasing interest in their manager earlier this week.
