The ongoing legal dispute between Cristiano Ronaldo and his former club, Juventus, regarding €19.5 million in outstanding wages is anticipated to reach a resolution by the end of April.
This conflict emerged following Ronaldo’s departure from Turin to rejoin Manchester United in August 2021. Ronaldo contends that Juventus owes him €19.5 million in unpaid wages.
Contrarily, Juventus asserts that Ronaldo forfeited any rights to outstanding payments upon his transfer to Manchester United, a transaction hurriedly concluded on deadline day.
In June 2023, Ronaldo initiated arbitration proceedings, leading to a subsequent hearing on February 5, as revealed by Calcio e Finanza upon inspecting pertinent documents.
The Collegio Arbitrale court is poised to deliver its verdict by April 22.
Notably, Juventus maintains that the demands made by the former player lack merit. Such confidence is reflected in the absence of additional funds set aside by the club in anticipation of an adverse ruling.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Ronaldo continues his professional career, having joined Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League as a free agent in January 2023.
