Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has refuted claims that he has already inked a deal with Real Madrid, amidst fervent speculation surrounding his potential move to the Spanish giants. While some reports have asserted that a deal is already finalized, the prevailing consensus indicates that only the final details of an agreement remain to be settled.
Two weeks ago, PSG made it public that Mbappe had informed CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his decision not to extend his contract with the club, signaling his departure at the end of the season. It has been widely presumed that his next destination will be Real Madrid.
According to RMC, via GFFN, Mbappe has denied reaching an agreement. The 25-year-old attended a dinner on Tuesday night attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and the Emir of Qatar, where he reportedly informed guests that no deal with Real Madrid had been finalized.
Nevertheless, despite Mbappe’s denial, there is little doubt that his signing with Real Madrid is imminent. With only a handful of clubs capable of meeting his wage demands, Mbappe’s options this summer are limited. Furthermore, Mbappe himself has expressed his aspiration to don the iconic white jersey of Real Madrid, further fueling speculation of his imminent move to the Spanish capital.
However, if the deal is already agreed, Mbappé, Real Madrid and PSG are keeping it a secret… at least for now. According to RMC Sport, Mbappé’s future was a topic of conversation at the gala, attended not only by Macron but also by PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the Emir of Qatar. The AS Monaco academy product reportedly told fellow guests that he is yet to agree a deal.
With Mbappé’s departure from Les Parisiens already confirmed, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, wished the Frenchman “good luck” in a brief exchange, broadcast by RMC Sport
