As per a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s target, Bento Matheus Krepski, commonly known as Bento, is subject to a contractual clause of €60 million with Athletico Paranaense. However, the Brazilian club is reportedly willing to negotiate his transfer for a significantly reduced fee of €20 million.
Bento has been identified by Inter as a prospective long-term replacement for their 35-year-old goalkeeper Yan Sommer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that although Bento’s contract includes a substantial release clause, Athletico Paranaense is prepared to part ways with the talented goalkeeper for a fraction of that amount, specifically €20 million, upon the conclusion of the current season.
Despite the seemingly favorable terms, this figure remains substantial for Inter, especially considering their other transfer priorities for the upcoming summer window. Nevertheless, the Nerazzurri intend to maintain close scrutiny over the Brazilian international’s situation.
The report indicates Inter’s intention to integrate a youthful goalkeeper into their roster, affording him the opportunity to acclimatize and potentially evolve into a regular starter, akin to the progression witnessed with André Onana in the previous season.
Furthermore, La Gazzetta dello Sport mentions interest from Premier League clubs in Bento; however, Chelsea is notably absent from the list of potential suitors, as per the latest updates from the Italian publication.
