Matteo Moretto has provided insight indicating that discussions between Inter Milan and Anthony Martial’s representatives have yet to commence. This delay is attributed to Inter’s prioritization of resolving the contractual situations of several other strikers within their squad, namely Alexis Sanchez, Marko Arnautovic, Joaquin Correa, and Valentin Carboni.
According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan has shown interest in acquiring Manchester United’s Anthony Martial, who may become available on a free transfer during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Transfer specialist Matteo Moretto, speaking through Caught Offside’s Daily Briefing, has confirmed that Inter Milan has not taken any definitive steps towards securing the services of Martial or any other forward player at this stage.
Moretto asserts that before committing to any new signings in the attacking department, Inter must first resolve the contractual statuses of the aforementioned strikers currently under their employ. Among these, Alexis Sanchez’s contract is set to expire in June, while Marko Arnautovic, Joaquin Correa, and Valentin Carboni are also part of Inter’s considerations.
It’s notable that both Correa and Carboni are presently on loan at Marseille and Monza, respectively. Correa, aged 29, has yet to register a goal or assist in 16 appearances for Marseille in Ligue 1. Meanwhile, Carboni, aged 19, has recorded two goals and four assists across 25 appearances in all competitions for Monza.
