Inter Milan appears to have identified their goalkeeper for the upcoming season in Brazilian international Bento Matheus Krepski, though negotiations with Athletico Paranaense are still pending agreement.
According to various sources, the 24-year-old has expressed readiness for a potential move this summer, despite being contracted until December 2026.
Bento has been a target of Inter Milan for some time, with director Dario Baccin personally visiting Brazil. The goalkeeper is keen on advancing his career in Italy.
However, Tuttosport highlights an obstacle in the negotiations: Athletico Paranaense holds a release clause valued at €60m and is seeking at least €15m for his transfer this summer. They may consider lowering this amount by securing a portion of any future transfer fee.
Bento recently made his senior international debut during a 1-0 friendly victory over England at Wembley Stadium.
Inter Milan’s recent acquisition of Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich for €6.75m this season may serve as a temporary solution, given Sommer’s age of 35. The plan is to offer Bento a year as the second choice goalkeeper to allow him time to adjust.
