Juventus is set to impose a fine of €70,000 upon Dusan Vlahovic for his dismissal following a red card during the recent encounter against Genoa, as per a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport. Vlahovic incurred two yellow cards for dissent, resulting in his expulsion from Juventus’ latest Serie A fixture versus Genoa.
Following the match, Coach Massimiliano Allegri affirmed Vlahovic’s impending financial penalty. According to sources cited by Gazzetta, the Serbia international will be liable to pay €70,000, equivalent to 5% of his monthly gross wages.
Consequently, Vlahovic has incurred a one-match suspension, rendering him ineligible for participation in the forthcoming fixture against Igor Tudor’s Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome following the league’s hiatus.
Remaining in Turin, the former Fiorentina striker will be absent from Serbia’s national team during the March break due to reported back discomfort.
Having joined Juventus in a lucrative €80 million transfer deal from Fiorentina in January 2022, Vlahovic has emerged as the Bianconeri’s leading goal scorer this season, amassing 15 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions. His tenure at the Allianz Stadium is contracted until June 2026.
