AC Milan has embarked on their journey to Tuscany in preparation for their upcoming Serie A clash with Fiorentina on Saturday evening. Head coach Stefano Pioli has chosen to include three young players from the Primavera squad in the traveling contingent.
The trio of teenagers joining the Milan squad for this weekend’s fixture are 18-year-old Jan-Carlo Simic, who plays as a centre-back, left-back Davide Bartesaghi, and 19-year-old central midfielder Kevin Zeroli. Reports circulating earlier on Friday suggest that Zeroli is on the verge of signing a new professional contract with the Rossoneri.
However, Pioli will have to manage without several key players against Fiorentina. Notably, Theo Hernandez will be absent due to suspension after accumulating his fifth yellow card of the season in the match against Atalanta before the international break.
Furthermore, Milan will be without the services of Simon Kjaer, Pierre Kalulu, and Tommaso Pobega due to ongoing rehabilitation from injuries.
Despite these setbacks, Pioli is anticipated to field a lineup that closely resembles the usual starting XI. It is likely that Alessandro Florenzi will take Hernandez’s place at left-back, as reported by TMW.
