Former Liverpool star Paul Ince has stated that Mohamed Salah is not a world-class player, but he is indeed a world-class goalscorer. Ince played for the Reds from 1995 to 1997.
Andy Goldstein questioned Ince about Salah’s world-class status, to which the Manchester United legend replied that Salah is a world-class goalscorer based on his impressive record.
However, Ince believes that Salah is not a world-class player technically, especially when it comes to delivering balls into the box with his left foot.
Despite this, Ince acknowledges Salah’s ability to score goals and create opportunities on the field. Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 from AS Roma and has since made a significant impact, becoming one of Liverpool’s top goalscorers of all time.
His recent performance against Manchester United, where he scored a last-minute penalty in a 2-2 draw, further solidified his reputation as a prolific goalscorer.
Liverpool find themselves in a gripping battle for the title against Arsenal and Manchester City, currently occupying the second spot based on goal difference following their draw at Old Trafford. Nevertheless, the return of Salah to full fitness presents a significant opportunity for Jurgen Klopp’s team to secure the league championship at Anfield.
