Dennis te Kloese, the director of Feyenoord, has officially acknowledged the club’s desire to acquire Bryan Gil, the overlooked player from Tottenham.
In January, the Eredivisie champions set their sights on the 23-year-old winger, but Gil made the decision to remain at Spurs due to his satisfaction with working alongside Ange Postecoglou.
Gil has not been a regular starter for Spurs since December and is widely anticipated to depart during the upcoming summer transfer window.
“The pursuit of Gil has been ongoing for multiple transfer windows,” Te Kloese informed Rotterdam daily Algemeen Dagblad.
“We are once again exploring the possibilities. We provide an excellent platform for young players to further their careers. Gil is a talented player, but there are numerous other clubs interested in him.”
Gil made the move to Spurs from Sevilla in the summer of 2021 but has struggled to make an impact in English football. He has had loan spells back at Sevilla and with La Liga rivals Valencia.
Under Postecoglou, Gil has only started twice this season – in a home loss to Aston Villa and a 3-3 draw against Manchester City during a period of injury crisis for Spurs.
