Amadou Onana’s departure from Everton this summer is highly likely if the team gets relegated. Throughout the season, Onana has garnered interest from various Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, Arsenal, and West Ham.
Everton is currently facing financial challenges due to two breaches of financial regulations. If they are relegated to the Championship, they will be compelled to address their financial situation.
Presently, Sean Dyche’s side is positioned 16th in the Premier League, just four points away from the relegation zone. However, the Toffees could potentially face a second points deduction this season.
Back in February, it was disclosed that Everton would demand a transfer fee ranging from £50-£60 million for Onana’s departure.
During an episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, O’Rourke expressed his belief that if Everton were to be relegated, it would be inevitable for Onana to leave the club.
