If Everton manages to secure their position in the Premier League, they have expressed a strong desire to prolong striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract.
The current agreement is scheduled to end in June 2025, after being extended in March 2020. However, due to the uncertainty surrounding Everton’s takeover and their Premier League status, manager Sean Dyche’s team is not in a hurry to initiate contract negotiations.
Their primary focus at the moment is to ensure their continued presence in the top flight.
If Liverpool manages to stay in the top flight, discussions will be initiated with Calvert-Lewin regarding the extension of his contract. He has participated in 33 matches across various competitions in the 2023-24 season, scoring six goals and providing two assists.
The English player has been in the starting lineup for 27 of those games and is experiencing his most injury-free season in recent times.
Calvert-Lewin found the back of the net against Burnley and Newcastle in the current month, although he was absent from the 6-0 defeat to Chelsea due to a minor hamstring issue.
