Man United manager Erik ten Hag was spotted enjoying lunch in Cheshire on Monday, following his team’s disappointing performance over the weekend.
In Saturday’s match against Fulham, ten Hag witnessed his side suffer an unexpected defeat, with goals from Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey sandwiching Harry Maguire’s goal.
The defeat has intensified the pressure on ten Hag, with Manchester United now sitting sixth in the league, eight points adrift of Champions League qualification.
After the match, ten Hag and his wife, Bianca, were seen grabbing a meal at the upscale artisan brasserie, Junipers, in Hale. Both opted for casual attire, with Bianca wearing an all-beige outfit accessorized with a brown scarf, while ten Hag sported an all-black ensemble, complete with a waterproof Adidas jacket.
At Junipers, patrons can indulge in a variety of dishes, including steak sandwiches, chicken souvlaki, and seabass, priced at £18. Described as a “collection of artisan brasseries,” Junipers offers an internationally inspired menu of fine food and beverages.
Despite the setback against Fulham, ten Hag remains optimistic about the future of Manchester United.
The United boss said: ‘I said from the start of January, we are in finals. We won many and now we lost one.
‘After one defeat you have to see the bigger picture, and the bigger picture looks very good.
‘We have to catch up in certain positions and get the injuries back, then we will be more balanced and also strengthen the squad in the transfer windows.
‘You see there are many good players coming up and real high-potential players. They will be getting better so definitely we are going in the right direction. When we have the players available, we have a very good team.’
