Former Manchester United star’s family, Angel Di Maria, is living in extreme fear after receiving death threats.
Angel Di Maria, the 36-year-old winger, left Rosario in his native Argentina after playing 36 matches for Rosario Central in 2007, when he signed with Benfica, before moving on to play for Real Madrid, MU, PSG, and Juventus. Di Maria, who re-signed with Benfica last summer, has made 137 appearances and scored 29 goals for the Argentine national team. Personally, Di Maria has also made significant contributions by scoring in the 2022 World Cup final, while also playing a key role in helping the Argentina national team win the 2022 World Cup title.
However, despite being an icon in his native Argentina, Messi’s family has now become the victim of a terrifying threat. According to Clarin, a piece of paper was thrown into one of the entrances to the Miraflores residential area, where Di Maria’s parents live. The piece of paper, believed to have been thrown from a gray car at 2:30 a.m., reads: “Tell your son Angel not to come back to Rosario anymore, because if he does, we will kill him immediately. Not even Pullaro can save Di Maria.” It is worth noting that “Pullaro” refers to Maximiliano Pullaro, the Governor of Santa Fe Province.
The piece of paper with its chilling content has been seized by the police, who are urgently investigating the scene. So far, it is still unclear why the 2022 World Cup champion has become a target of death threats.
