Real Madrid has reportedly been approached by Chelsea with offers for Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella; however, neither transaction appears to be imminent.
According to Defensa Central, Chelsea is orchestrating a significant player turnover and has extended offers to Real Madrid for two of their high-profile acquisitions: Fernandez and Cucurella.
Considering the apparent unlikelihood of both transfers materializing at present, it appears that the Spanish giants may not have immediate need for either player.
Chelsea looking to attract offers for their players
Transfer speculation is intensifying in the media, despite the market being several months away from opening.
Real Madrid is actively seeking a replacement left-back to fill the impending departure of Ferland Mendy in the summer.
Although possessing positive attributes, Cucurella has yet to demonstrate his true value since transferring from Brighton to Chelsea.
Alphonso Davies is reportedly the primary target for Florentino Perez, effectively ruling out any potential deal for the Chelsea player.
Real Madrid may consider Fernandez as a midfield option suitable for the team. However, any potential transfer for the Argentine could hinge on Toni Kroos’ future.
Nevertheless, Aurelien Tchouameni is also someone Perez has confidence in, making it potentially difficult for the Chelsea player to join in the summer.
Real Madrid are highly unlikely to sign Chelsea players
At present, it appears unlikely that the La Liga frontrunners will pursue either of the aforementioned players, as they have alternative plans for filling those positions.
The London-based club may come under scrutiny from the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability regulations, especially considering their recent substantial expenditures following the introduction of new ownership.
Despite investing over a billion pounds in acquiring new players, the Blues risk missing out on European qualification for the second consecutive season if their high-profile signings fail to deliver improved performances on the field.
In order to adhere to Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR), the Blues are compelled to generate a significant revenue through player sales. Failure to do so could result in point deductions in the upcoming season.
