Italian coach Roberto De Zerbi’s noteworthy achievements at Brighton have garnered significant attention from several prominent football clubs, including Chelsea, Milan, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich.
De Zerbi, who previously managed Benevento, Sassuolo, and Shakhtar Donetsk, has demonstrated a remarkable progression at Brighton and Hove Albion, showcasing a dynamic style of football that distinguishes him as a standout manager in the Premier League.
Recent reports suggest that Milan is actively pursuing De Zerbi as their top candidate to succeed Stefano Pioli next season, aiming to initiate a new era at San Siro.
Furthermore, The Guardian has reported that Chelsea has included De Zerbi in their list of potential managerial candidates, alongside Ruben Amorim, the current boss of Sporting CP. Chelsea’s current struggles under Mauricio Pochettino could prompt them to consider activating De Zerbi’s £10 million release clause from his contract with Brighton, making them the most likely contender in the race for his services.
Meanwhile, according to Sky Sports Deutschland, Bayern Munich has identified De Zerbi as their second preference for the managerial position, following Xabi Alonso.
In addition to Chelsea and Bayern Munich, De Zerbi has also been linked with managerial vacancies at Liverpool and Barcelona, both of which are expected to become available in the summer.
