According to information from sources cited by Ben Jacobs, both Chelsea and Arsenal are actively involved in the pursuit of Victor Osimhen, with indications suggesting that the forward’s primary preference is a transfer to the Premier League.
Despite recently extending his contract with Napoli until June 2026, Osimhen’s availability has been underscored by reports of a release clause, estimated to be around €130 million, incorporated into his new agreement with the Serie A champions.
In addition to Chelsea and Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has also emerged as a potential destination for the striker, with several clubs vying for his signature in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Speaking to Givemesport, journalist Ben Jacobs emphasized Osimhen’s keen interest in securing a move to England by the end of the season. He highlighted PSG’s significant interest in the player, particularly with the anticipated departure of Kylian Mbappe potentially freeing up funds for further acquisitions.
Jacobs further revealed that Osimhen is reportedly seeking a weekly wage of approximately £250,000, a figure that all three clubs—Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG—are purportedly willing to accommodate.
Despite Osimhen’s recent commitments to Napoli, his on-field performances have continued to attract attention, notably with two goals scored in as many matches under Francesco Calzona’s management since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). These goals were against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League and Cagliari in Serie A.
Since joining Napoli in 2020, the Nigerian international has amassed an impressive record, netting 69 goals in 121 appearances for the Partenopei. His standout season came in 2022-23, where he clinched the Serie A Capocannoniere title, coinciding with Napoli’s triumph in securing their first Scudetto in 33 years.
