Eindhovens Dagblad reported that Borussia Dortmund has initiated discussions with Johan Bakayoko’s representatives regarding a potential transfer in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The talented PSV winger has been in outstanding form this season, attracting interest from several top clubs across Europe. Among them, Dortmund has emerged as the latest club eager to secure the services of the Belgian player.
Johan Bakayoko has been a key player for PSV this season, scoring 11 goals and providing 14 assists in 43 appearances.
His impressive performances have been instrumental in helping PSV climb to the top of the Eredivisie table, with a nine-point lead and a strong chance of clinching the league title for the first time since the 2017/2018 season.
Despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Brentford in the past, Bakayoko opted to remain at PSV.
PSV’s technical director, Earnest Stewart, has indicated that there is a high likelihood of Johan Bakayoko departing the club in the upcoming transfer window. If Borussia Dortmund intends to secure his services at the Signal Iduna Park, they will likely need to meet a transfer fee exceeding €40m.
