Real Madrid has received offers from both Liverpool and Chelsea, indicating their willingness to pay €200m (£171m) for the transfer of Vinicius Junior to the Premier League.
The 23-year-old Brazilian player joined Real Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 and has since made 253 appearances for the club, scoring 77 goals and providing 72 assists in various competitions. Vinicius has already achieved success with Real Madrid, winning two La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League.
He aims to continue leading the team to further triumphs in both domestic and European competitions this season. Despite recent speculation about his future due to Real Madrid’s potential signing of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius has expressed no desire to leave the club.
Furthermore, Real Madrid has no intention of considering any offers for him during the current transfer window. Manchester United has also shown interest in the talented South American player, who has contributed 15 goals and eight assists in La Liga and the Champions League this season.
Sport reports that Real Madrid is well aware of the potential impact that the arrival of Mbappe could have on the team. It is expected that Mbappe will become the highest-paid player at the club. As a result, Vinicius may be offered a new contract that extends his agreement until June 2029 and includes a salary increase to bring him closer to Mbappe’s earnings.
The addition of Mbappe to the squad will present an interesting dilemma for Ancelotti. This season, Ancelotti switched to a 4-3-1-2 formation due to Benzema’s departure and Bellingham’s arrival. Vinicius and Rodrygo have been the primary front two, with Bellingham occupying the number 10 position.
However, Mbappe’s preferred position is on the left, and it remains to be seen if Ancelotti will make changes to the formation for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
There are also doubts surrounding Rodrygo’s future, as both Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring his situation in Madrid closely.
