Bayern Munich has reportedly set its sights on multiple acquisitions from AC Milan. Among the targeted players, Theo Hernández is being considered as a potential replacement for Alphonso Davies, in the event of the departure of the Bayern left-back to Real Madrid during the upcoming summer transfer window. Additionally, another player from Milan, goalkeeper Mike Maignan, has attracted interest from Bavaria.
Hernández, aged 26, and Maignan, aged 28, both stand as prominent figures in the prime of their careers, with contracts set to expire in 2026. Consequently, their potential acquisitions are expected to come at a considerable cost. According to Transfermarkt, Hernández is presently valued at €55 million, whereas Maignan holds a valuation of €45 million. However, it is anticipated that Bayern Munich will endeavor to negotiate lower prices should they decide to pursue either player.
Of particular note is Maignan’s candidacy as a successor to Manuel Neuer, who is set to turn 38 later this March. Consequently, it is speculated that Maignan may not be an immediate target and could potentially be pursued during the 2025 summer transfer window. This development may mark the initiation of a transfer competition and serve as an indication to Maignan that he might consider delaying any contract extensions in Italy.
