Barcelona is seriously considering exercising their option to buy Pau Victor this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo. The 22-year-old forward joined Barcelona on a season-long loan from Girona last summer and has made a significant impact during his time at the club.
Victor has impressed with 14 goals and four assists in 22 appearances for Barcelona’s reserve team, Barca Atletic, making him their top scorer. He has also been called up to first-team training several times and has been included in the matchday squad by manager Xavi on three occasions.
Although Victor has yet to make his senior team debut, his progress has been notable. Barcelona sees him as a promising talent for the future, especially considering his relatively low buy option of just €3 million.
With his loan deal set to expire at the end of the season, Barcelona may opt to secure Victor’s services permanently to bolster their attacking options.
