Chelsea is reportedly making active efforts to sell Conor Gallagher this summer. The 24-year-old midfielder, who has progressed through the Blues’ academy, has become a regular in the first team.
Under Mauricio Pochettino’s management, he has already made 38 appearances this season. Gallagher is also part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad and recently started in the 1-0 loss to Brazil.
Despite his international success, reports from the Daily Mail suggest that Chelsea is looking to offload him to other Premier League clubs.
This move is driven by the fact that Gallagher has just over a year left on his contract, making any potential transfer fee a significant profit under FFP regulations.
Negotiations for a contract extension have not progressed, indicating that he may leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
