The assessments regarding Teun Koopmeiners, Giorgio Scalvini, and Gleison Bremer, three footballers scouted by Manchester United in Turin on Sunday, have been detailed.
According to reports from Tuttosport newspaper, the Red Devils dispatched their scouts to observe Koopmeiners, Scalvini, and Bremer during the Juventus–Atalanta match last Sunday.
Atalanta held Juventus to a 2-2 draw, with their Dutch midfielder, Koopmeiners, delivering an outstanding performance, earning recognition as Football Italia’s Man Of The Match at the Allianz Stadium with a brace.
Opta statistics reveal that Koopmeiners has netted seven out of his nine Serie A goals in away matches during the 2023-24 season, placing him among the top scorers. Only Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid and England has scored more, with nine goals this season.
Notably, Juventus has also expressed interest in acquiring Koopmeiners, as indicated by Gasperini during a press conference covered by Football Italia, stating that the club would pursue the 26-year-old if he maintains his current form.
Conversely, Juventus defender Bremer encountered difficulties handling Atalanta’s strikers, while Scalvini displayed commendable performance in La Dea’s offensive efforts.
Bremer received a rating of 5.5/10 from Gazzetta, with remarks on his struggles against Scamacca, who proved to be a formidable opponent. The Brazilian player fouled the Italian international, resulting in a free-kick that led to Atalanta’s opening goal in the first half.
Despite this, Sofascore statistics indicate that Bremer successfully won six ground duels out of nine attempts and six aerial duels out of seven.
While Scalvini did not win any ground duels, his passing accuracy at the Allianz Stadium stood at 84% (37/44).
