Arsenal want to recruit Alexander Isak ahead of other opstions including Dusan Vlahovic, Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney.
After acquiring Isak from Real Sociedad for a hefty sum of £63 million in the summer of 2022, Newcastle United is expected to be hesitant in allowing him to depart.
It has come to our attention that Arsenal, particularly Mikel Arteta, has held a strong admiration for Isak ever since his relocation to Spain in 2019.
The North London club was heavily linked with the player prior to his move to Newcastle, and their interest in him has not waned.
It is believed that the 24-year-old would be open to a transfer to the Emirates Stadium if both clubs could reach an agreement on the transfer fee before the commencement of the 2024/25 season.
However, Isak’s existing contract with Newcastle extends until 2028, making it an exceedingly challenging deal for Arsenal to successfully execute this summer.
Isak has had a fairly successful season, scoring 12 goals in 20 Premier League matches despite Newcastle’s struggles.
Despite Newcastle’s underwhelming season, Isak has managed to have a relatively fruitful campaign, finding the back of the net 12 times in 20 Premier League games. It is evident that the Swedish international would bring a fresh attacking dynamic to Mikel Arteta’s team in North London.
